Dan Orlovsky broke down why the Green Bay Packers have been struggling on offense for the last couple of weeks. While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Orlovsky explained what the Packers need to do to improve on offense.
“They’ve got to rip the band-aid off Jordan Love ,” Dan Orlovsky said. “They’ve got to rip the handcuff off him. This isn’t a Jordan Love thing. I’ve talked about this offense, the offensive line not being good enough, that was once again the case a little bit. Some of the playcalling, trying to be overly creative.”
Orlovsky then talked about how Love and the Packers played in the 10-7 loss against the Phiadelphia Eagles on Monday night. “When I watched Jordan last night, I’m sitting there going, ‘This is why I hate the term, when people talk about in quarterback context, protect the football.’ I feel like the Packers for the last month offensively are in this let’s live in this protective world,” Orlovsky explained. “It even is impacting the way I feel like Matt [LaFleur] is calling the game. You’re not going to be great by living in this protection world.”
Packers are looking for ‘actual answers’ on offense
The Packers have a 5-3-1 record this year, and have scored no more than 13 points in their three losses. Two of the defeats came in the last two weeks, and Love threw zero touchdowns and one interception in that span.
