South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers made his season debut this afternoon in a win over Virginia Tech in Atlanta. Since watching that film from today, Dan Orlovsky sees why scouts like him at the next level, with a comparison of him to one of the best quarterbacks in the history of the NFL.
At halftime of No. 6 Notre Dame vs. No. 10 Miami on ABC, Orlovsky spoke about Sellers’ performance in the 24-11 win for the Gamecocks this afternoon. He thinks people in the pros are high on him because he sees a more athletic version of Ben Roethlisberger in him.
“Because he is Big Ben, but fast,” said Orlovsky. “He’s 6’3”, 235 pounds. A tremendous athlete, but the ability that he has shown to throw the ball downfield has grown.”
“He’s one of the best quarterbacks in football,” Orlovsky said.
