Detroit Lions, wide receiver Jameson Williams agree to massive extension

The Detroit Lions and wide receiver Jameson Williams have reportedly agreed to terms on a massive three-year, $83 million extension, per ESPN ‘s Adam Schefter .

The deal comes the night before Detroit opens its 2025 season Sunday afternoon against the Green Bay Packers.

Williams, who is in the final year of his rookie contract, is set to make $2,636,153 this season. He however had his club option exercised for the 2026 season and his salary will jump to $15,493,000. This deal guarantees that his per-year earnings jump to $27.6 million beginning in 2027. Over his first four seasons (including this upcoming season), the former Ohio State / Alabama receiver has collected $17,461,790.

Williams is just the latest within the Detroit Lions organization to ink a long-term extension over the last two offseasons.
