Does Cowboys acquiring Quinnen Williams make amends for Micah Parsons trade?

Before sending Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers in August, the Dallas Cowboys explored trading the defensive end to the New York Jets for star defensive tackle Quinnen Williams. Now, the DT is joining “America’s Team.” On Tuesday, the Jets dealt three-time Pro Bowler Williams to the Cowboys for a second-round pick in 2026, a first-round pick in 2027 and DT Mazi Smith. Dallas has two first-rounders in 2027 after the Parsons trade. Of those two picks, New York receives the highest one (via ESPN’s Adam Schefter).  Acquiring Williams might seem like a win for the struggling Cowboys’ defense. After nine weeks, Dallas is second to last in the league in points allowed (30.8) and yards allowed (397.4). That said, it could be a last-ditch effort to make up for trading Parsons, which has derailed the team’s season.
