Editor’s note: After publication, the Dolphins mutually agreed on Friday to part ways with longtime general manager Chris Grier. Champ Kelly will serve as interim GM.
With the NFL’s Nov. 4 trade deadline fast approaching, the Miami Dolphins could be sellers following Thursday’s blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Playoff teams across the NFL are searching for pass rush aid ahead of the deadline, and the 2-7 Dolphins employ three potential trade targets: Bradley Chubb, Jaelan Phillips and Matt Judon.
Chubb, who took a pay cut this offseason to remain in Miami, is aware of the rumors about his future, but isn’t focusing on the trade market.
“God has full control. He knows the plans he has for me,” Chubb said after Thursday’s game, via the Miami Herald. “I’m just living each and every day, being where my feet are.”
The Dolphins acquired Chubb in a 2022 deadline deal with Denver for a 2023 first-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick.
“I understand the business of football,” said Chubb, who has two years left on his deal with no more guaranteed money. “But at the end of the day, I love these guys. I got the C on my shirt for a reason.”

Phillips and Judon are both pending free agents, whom Miami could move for draft picks rather than wait to see if it might get a compensatory pick if it lost one or both in free agency.
Phillips is a talented player who has seen injuries derail his burgeoning talent. He’s played all nine games this season, generating three sacks, seven QB hits and 25 tackles.
“It’s out of my control. I would love to stay here,” Phillips said. “But if I get traded, I get traded.”
The Dolphins spent the offseason attempting to get their books in order but are still projected to be over the salary cap in 2026. Currently with seven draft picks in next year’s draft, Miami could look to secure more capital by shipping out one of its big-name pass rushers before Tuesday.
