Miami Dolphins quarterback Quinn Ewers will serve as Tua Tagovailoa ‘s backup against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Until now, Ewers has spent his rookie season as the Dolphins’ QB3, behind both Tagovailoa and Zach Wilson .
The game will be Ewers’ first listed as an active player on the roster. The Dolphins are desperate for a win after starting the season with a 1-5 record.
It’s been a rocky start for Tagovailoa, who has completed 69.8% of his pass attempts for 1,213 yards and 11 touchdowns, compared to seven interceptions. In the Dolphins’ 29-27 loss to the Chargers last week, Tagovailoa threw three interceptions, compared to one TD.
