Eagles make NFC East history with win over Commanders 

Despite an up-and-down season, the Philadelphia Eagles are the class of the NFC East once again. The Eagles locked up their second consecutive division title on Saturday after defeating the Washington Commanders by the score of 29-18.  While another division title is far from the end goal for the defending Super Bowl champions, Philadelphia’s 2025 NFC East crown is historic in its own right. The Eagles became the first team to win back-to-back NFC East titles in 21 years.  Jalen Hurts only threw for 185 yards, but that was all the Eagles needed to end the longest streak of a division having different winners in NFL history.  Ironically enough, the last time the NFC East experienced a repeat champion was when Andy Reid’s Eagles won division championships from 2001 to 2004.  After three straight losses, the Eagles are hitting their stride as they hope to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
