Eagles Tush Push: Philadelphia appears to get away with false start on controversial play vs. Giants

The Philadelphia Eagles (4-1) scored their second touchdown of Thursday’s Week 6 road contest against the New York Giants (1-4) by way of the “Tush Push.” Philadelphia went to play four times in a row inside the New York’s 10-yard line before finally punching it in.

But it appears the Eagles got away with a false start on the third Tush Push attempt. Right guard Tyler Steen looked like he got a head start before center Cam Jurgens snapped the ball.

No penalty was called on the play. Prime Video rules analyst Terry McAulay said that it was a false start but added that it’s a difficult play to judge in real time. Had the penalty been called, that would have backed Philadelphia up. Instead, they scored on the next play to take a 17-13 lead.
