East Carolina vs. Tulane Prediction, Preview

East Carolina and Tulane both enjoyed a week off after starting American Conference play on the right foot. The Pirates easily handled Army (at home last time out behind Katin Houser’s three-touchdown performance. Meanwhile, the Green Wave bounced back from a blowout loss at Ole Miss and rolled on the road against Tulsa. Tulane (4-1, 1-0 American) is 6-2 at home under coach Jon Sumrall with two wins over power conference teams (Northwestern and Duke) this season. Jake Retzlaff, a late transfer addition, has fit right in with the Green Wave offense. Tulane boasts one of the better rushing attacks in the country, but its defense has been up and down. East Carolina (3-2, 1-0) won its last road game at Coastal Carolina but dropped its season opener at NC State. The Pirates are all about the aerial attack as Houser ranks 12th nationally in passing yardage.
