Levi’s Stadium hosts the Super Bowl this upcoming February, as teams continue the early stages of fighting out for a playoff spot. We might not know which two teams are taking the field but the halftime show is already decided. Popular artist Bad Bunny takes the stage in Santa Clara and brings some mixed opinions from the outside.
Former Los Angeles Rams star Eric Dickerson provided his thoughts recently to TMZ. He does not appear to be in favor of Bad Bunny being the halftime performer after previous comments about the United States.
“I know Puerto Rico is part of the U.S.,” Dickerson said. “But, it’s not the U.S. That’s the way I look at it. That’s the way I feel… If Bad Bunny said something about the U.S., don’t come here and perform. You know, don’t come here. Stay in your country.”
Bad Bunny, whose name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, is from and still lives in Puerto Rico. He is one of the more popular artists out there at the moment, being Spotify’s most-streamed artist in 2020 all the way through 2022. People from different parts of the world will tune into the Super Bowl, already one of the highest-viewed events of the year, to watch his performance.
