FOX reportedly makes final decision on Mark Sanchez's future after arrest

According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic , Mark Sanchez is “done” at Fox Sports. Sanchez was recently hospitalized and arrested after an incident that resulted in the former NFL quarterback being stabbed. Multiple charges against Sanchez ultimately led to Fox moving on.

“Mark Sanchez officially done at Fox Sports, a Fox Sports spokesperson confirmed to The Athletic ,” Marchand said via X.

Sanchez announced his retirement from the NFL in the summer of 2019, immediately getting into the media world. He initially worked at ESPN with college football as his main focus. However, a shift over to Fox came in 2021. They placed him in the broadcast booth to be a color analyst, usually pairing him with play-by-play commentator Adam Amin.

“We can confirm that Mark Sanchez is no longer with the network,” Fox said in a statement to TMZ. “There will be no further comment at this time.”

Fox already appears to have a replacement for Sanchez as well. Drew Brees is joining the company, essentially taking Sanchez’s spot. Brees is expected to begin working for Fox right away, but is not currently scheduled to appear during a Week 10 matchup.
