The San Francisco 49ers have taken yet another sickening blow. 49ers linebacker Fred Warner suffered a gruesome injury during Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the first quarter at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., Warner was lightly chasing after Bucs running back Rachaad White while teammate Ji’Ayir Brown made the tackle. Brown fell down while tackling White, and he rolled up on Warner’s ankle. As a result, Warner’s right ankle bent underneath him awkwardly. Here is the video. The four-time All-Pro Warner has been with the 49ers for his entire NFL career and now serves as a captain for the team as well as one of their top defensive leaders.
