Garrett Wilson injury update: Jets WR set for extended absence, per report

by: Nick Geddes 7 minutes ago NickGeddesNews

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is expected to miss at least three to four weeks, according to Rich Cimini of ESPN. Wilson suffered a knee sprain in Sunday’s 27-20 Week 10 victory over the Cleveland Browns. The injury won’t require surgery.

Wilson, 25, missed New York’s previous two games with an injury to the same knee. He reinjured it in the third quarter of Sunday’s contest. Even with Wilson on the field, the Jets struggled to establish much of a passing attack against the Browns. Quarterback Justin Fields completed just 6-of-11 passes for 54 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Wilson was targeted three times, failing to secure a catch.

His third and final target came via a deep pass from Fields. Wilson came up with a limp, and he was seen on the exercise bike before heading to the locker room.
