It’s not very often that the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets outrecruit the Georgia Bulldogs, but when they do, it’s a big deal. It’s also a credit to Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key because he does seem to be building something that could be very interesting down in Atlanta. He’s coming off a 2025 regular season that saw the Yellow Jackets go 9-3 and spend a ton of time in the AP Top 25. If he keeps recruiting at a high level, the success will continue for Georgia Tech. If he keeps flipping recruits from UGA, the sky could be the limit. Georgia Tech’s latest commitment is a flip from UGA in the person of three-star safety Kealan Jones from Marietta, Georgia. Jones had been committed to Georgia since April of 2025, but the Yellow Jackets always kept in touch. They got him onto campus three times for game-day visits and over the summer got him in for an official visit.
