Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry honored New Orleans Pelicans standout Herb Jones by designating May 28 as “Not On Herb” day, celebrating Jones’ selection to the NBA All-Defense First Team. Jones had an impressive season, finishing as one of only four NBA players to amass at least 100 steals and 60 blocks.

Averaging 1.4 steals per game, Jones tied for seventh among all qualified players, with his 105 total steals ranking 11th in the league. This recognition underscores Jones’ defensive prowess and his significant contribution to the Pelicans’ success.
