Green Bay Packers injury report: Inactives announced for game vs. Detroit Lions

The Green Bay Packers released their updated injury report and inactives for Sunday’s opener against the Detroit Lions . The biggest question mark was Micah Parsons coming into this one.

Coming into the game, Parsons was expected to make his debut, following his trade from the Dallas Cowboys. The star pass rusher was dealing with a back injury.

He may receive an injection before the game against the Lions on Sunday, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter, for a L4/L5 facet joint sprain. Before trading Parsons to the Packers last week, the Dallas Cowboys prescribed him a five-day course of prednisone, a corticosteroid to help him recover from back tightness.

Despite this, Parsons said that he was feeling great physically during his introductory press conference with the Packers, which was likely before this plan was put in place. He noted that he planned to meet with team doctors and work on piecing a recovery plan together and assured that he’s working diligently on his return.
