WR DeAndre Hopkins reached five Pro Bowls and won three All-Pro nominations with the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans, but the Cardinals signaled their intent to tank the 2023 season by cutting him days before an important NFL deadline on June 1. The cost to sign him would place him potentially at $20 million mark.
The Raiders knowing that they will save money in a trade involving Hunter Renfrow after June 1st is likely the reason, we are seeing these reports as we inch closer to that date. Getting Renfrow throw trade could cost the Saints a draft picks but his alary for this year is just over $6 million then balloons to over $11 million in 2024.
