Jayden Daniels injury update: Adam Schefter reveals crucial factor in Washington Commanders QB's playing status

The Washington Commanders are hoping to get star quarterback Jayden Daniels back this weekend. Nothing is set in stone, though, and now Adam Schefter has revealed that his ability to play on Sunday is going to be in the hands of his doctors.

Schefter shared an update on Daniels during Thursdayโ€™s episode of Get Up . There, he shared that Daniels is back practicing for the Commanders. However, even with an improved knee, thereโ€™s no guarantee he plays unless he can get cleared medically.

โ€œBack at practice yesterday [Wednesday] in a limited fashion,โ€ Schefter said. โ€œHe said his knee feels better, but it will be a doctorโ€™s decision about whether or not he plays on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. Heโ€™s leaving it in the hands of others. Weโ€™ll see what they say.โ€

Daniels underwent an MRI on his knee following Washingtonโ€™s loss to the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night of Week 2. Ultimately, it turned out that he had a sprained knee. There had been some hope that he could get back for Week 3, but that didnโ€™t happen with the team choosing to play it safe. Now, his status continues to be up in the air.
