Jayden Daniels injury update: Adam Schefter reveals latest on Washington Commanders QB

With 11:53 remaining in the third quarter against the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a hamstring injury while being sacked. He left the game and didn’t return.

On Monday, Daniels underwent an MRI for the injury. During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show , ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed the latest news on Daniels’ condition.

“We’ve seen what this is before,” Schefter said . “ Lamar Jackson had a hamstring injury. Now, who knows if they’re the same grade? We don’t know what grade Lamar’s was, but he missed two weeks. They had the bye and the Ravens feel like they’ll get him back.

“I think it’d be safe to say right now that it’d be a surprise if he’s playing a week from today against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football. The Commanders are about to embark, really, on the teeth of their schedule. They play the Chiefs, the Seahawks and the Lions. I think that it’s fair to think Jayden Daniels is going to miss some of those games, at the very least.”

Before leaving the game, Daniels completed 12-of-his-22 pass attempts for 156 yards and a touchdown, without throwing an interception. Daniels also tallied a team-high 35 rushing yards and a score.

Daniels missed two games earlier this season due to a sprained left knee. In just five games, Daniels has amassed 1,031 passing yards and eight touchdowns, compared to just one interception. Daniels’ injury is only the latest in a string of bad luck for the Commanders.
