Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed went into the locker room after suffering what appeared to be a shoulder injury in Thursday’s Week 2 home contest against the Washington Commanders. The injury occurred on the Packers’ first drive of the game.
Quarterback Jordan Love connected with Reed for a 39-yard score, which was called back due to a holding penalty on rookie right tackle Anthony Belton , getting the start in place of the injured Zach Tom . Reed immediately showed to be in some discomfort.

Prime Video sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung said that Reed was “grimacing in pain” as he walked off the field. Reed could only take a couple of steps before needing to take a pause.
“Jayden Reed came down hard on that right shoulder. He immediately grabbed that collarbone area afterwards,” Hartung said. “He was able to jog across the field, but then he hit the ground in pain once he got to the Packers sideline.
“He walked off the field; you see him with the towel over his head. He could only take a couple of steps before taking a pause. He was grimacing in pain and couldn’t get comfortable. He’s heading back to the locker room and probably the X-ray room.”
