Dallas Cowboys rookie running back Jaydon Blue will miss his second consecutive preseason game on Saturday with a heel/ankle injury. The Cowboys kick-off against the Baltimore Ravens Saturday night at 7:00 PM on NFL Network.
Blue suffered a bone bruise in his heel during practice on Aug. 7, leading to his absence in the preseason opener. The Cowboys currently boast four healthy running backs who will see action in Saturday night’s game ( Deuce Vaughn , Malik Davis , Phil Mafah and Jalen Cropper ).

Dallas selected Blue with the No. 149 overall pick in the Fifth Round of the 2025 NFL Draft, hoping to address its running back situation. Blue played his college ball inside the Lone Star State, suiting up for the Texas Longhorns . Over three seasons, he totaled 1,161 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns.
No exact timeline for the injury has been provided per a report or by a team official. Hopefully, Blue is able to get things cleared up quickly and get his first taste of the NFL at some point before Sept. 4’s season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles.
