Jaylen Warren injury update: Steelers reveal RB's status in Wednesday practice report

The Pittsburgh Steelers gave their first update on running back Jaylen Warren ahead of the Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns. In the Wednesday practice report, Warren was listed as a full participant in practice with a knee injury.

Jaylen Warren missed the Week 4 game against the Minnesota Vikings because of the injury. The Steelers had last week off, which gave Warren time to rehab without missing another game.

Warren is not the only Steelers player who is making his way back to action after missing time. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr . (hamstring), who has missed the last three games, was a full participant on Wednesday. Additionally, linebacker Alex Highsmith (ankle), who has missed the last two games, was limited in practice.

“I feel really encouraged about the return of some people who’ve been out,” said Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin. “Guys like Alex Highsmith and Joey Porter Jr., for example, worked (Monday) on our bonus day, and the arrow’s pointed up on their participation.

“We’ll follow them throughout the week to make sure it continues to move. In the appropriate direction. I think the same thing could be said for Jaylen Warren. Obviously, he missed the last game, but looked really good (Monday). So, I’m excited about those guys.”
