Jeremiyah Love is most likely heading to the NFL for 2026 but he left the door open for a Notre Dame return next fall. It won’t come down to financial stability, according to the Heisman finalist RB.
It’ll come down to personal feel for Love, and right now that is pulling him towards the pros at this time. With Notre Dame’s season done following a bowl opt out, Love has plenty of time to ponder, train and ultimately make his decision. However, he teased it’ll come sooner rather than later.
“Most likely,” I haven’t made like, an official announcement or anything like that, but I’ve been discussing things with my family, and we’ll be coming to a conclusion here pretty soon, within the next week or so,” Love said on SportsCenter . “So, I mean, I gotta do what’s best for me, you know, I gotta, you know, take care of my family. So maybe, most likely, maybe there’s a small chance I continue playing collegiate ball.”
If this was it for Love at Notre Dame, he went out with a bang statistically. He had 199 carries for 1,372 yards, 18 touchdowns, 6.9 yards per carry, 27 catches, 280 receiving yards and three touchdown receptions. In his career, Love had 433 carries for 2,882 yards, 36 touchdowns, 6.7 yards per carry, 63 catches, 594 receiving yards and six touchdown receptions.
