If Trevon Diggs doesn’t play in Week 16, his career with the franchise, not just his season, could be over with the Cowboys. That’s not how Jerry Jones sees it yet, though, as far as the cornerback’s future in Dallas.
Asked on 105.3 The FAN if this might be the last chance for Diggs to ever suit up with Dallas, Jones denied that on Friday morning. He still may not be activated off injured reserve by tomorrow’s deadline, which would end his season regardless, but, as far as his future with the franchise, Jones thinks it’s too early to doubt whether or not he could be back with the Cowboys.
“Again, sure,” Jones said. “I don’t think I’ve seen, though it’s been connected, what he’s working through on this year’s availability. But, I think that’s a stretch to put that thing that far out. I know that, on my basis on looking at his situation, I don’t have that kind of attitude about him.”
