Jerry Jones reacts to Micah Parsons' Packers debut, recovery from back injury

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones had an interesting response about Micah Parsons ‘ debut with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. While appearing on 105.3 The Fan on Tuesday, Jones talked about watching Parsons in the season opener.

“From what I saw of him, I thought he was able to get in there and play without any influence from his back, and I say that with a straight face. I do,” Jerry Jones said, perTodd Archer of ESPN. “Having said that, wish him well.”

The Cowboys traded Micah Parsons to the Packers a week before the season kicked off. Before the trade, Parsons was not practicing with the Cowboys, as he said he was dealing with a back injury. Parsons was also seeking a contract extension with Dallas and publicly asked for a trade. That has led some to believe that the All-Pro pass rusher said he had a back injury so he would not be fined for not participating in training camp.

Micah Parsons was productive in Packers debut

Last week, ESPN reported that Parsons was dealing with an L4/L5 joint sprain in his back. He was limited to 45 percent of the defensive snaps in the game against the Lions and finished with one sack and three defensive pressures.
