Jerry Jones takes absurd jab at Micah Parsons over his Cowboys tenure

Sunday will be exactly one full month since the Dallas Cowboys shocked the world by trading superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons to the Green Bay Packers a week before the start of the season. That seismic trade has been the talk of the NFL in the weeks since, all of which come to ahead Sunday night on NBC when the Cowboys host Parson and the Packers in primetime.

But ahead of Parsonsโ€™ much-anticipated return to Dallas, longtime Cowboys owner Jerry Jones โ€” the man that orchastrated the trade after contract negotiations with Parsons broke down โ€” went on local radio Friday morning and suggested Dallas might already know how to slow down the Packersโ€™ star pass rusher Sunday night.

โ€œThereโ€™s no doubt about it that Micah is special and we all know he is, and he can be disruptive. But weโ€™ve got huge amounts of experience with anecdotes that weโ€™ve seen used on us for the last four years,โ€ Jones said Friday morning on 105.3 FM The Fan. โ€œAnd while he does make great plays, thereโ€™s also a way to approach playing against Micah as we know because we didnโ€™t exactly win the Super Bowl during those years.

โ€œThe bottom line is, when I look at playing (against Parsons), I think of trying to have him as an advantage when we were playing other teams over the last four years. Some plays it looks beautiful, but then other plays, especially running plays, you wish you wouldโ€™ve had a different formation.โ€
