The Winnipeg Jets will finally get their captain back in the lineup on Tuesday, as Adam Lowry is set to make his season debut against the Los Angeles Kings, the team announced. Along with the Lowry news, Jets head coach Scott Arniel told the media Monday that forward Morgan Barron will be out week-to-week with an undisclosed injury. He also gave updates on Gustav Nyquist, who remains day-to-day after leaving Winnipeg’s 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on last Thursday with an injury, along with Dylan Samber and Cole Perfetti, who both will travel with the team on their upcoming west-coast road trip. Lowry had hip surgery back in May following Winnipeg’s playoff exit to the hands of the Colorado Avalanche. The St. Louis native was a member of the Jets’ first draft class since relocating from Atlanta back in 2011, and has played 11 seasons with the team.
