Dallas Cowboys superstar CeeDee Lamb had a particularly rough season-opening outing in last Thursday night’s NFL opener after registering multiple drops in the 24-20 road loss to the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles . The usually reliable wideout dropped two passes that he believes he should’ve caught, including on a potential game-changing play during the Cowboys’ final drive.
But ever since that experience, the talented 26-year-old Lamb has completely rededicated himself on the Dallas practice field, including taking extra opportunties on the jug machine, according to star quarterback Dak Prescott.
“The way he’s approached this week, his demeanor, the way he’s finishing every play at practice, the extra time on the jugs, starting back on Friday,” Prescott said following Thursday’s practice, according to The Athletic’s Jon Machota. “My job will be just to make sure to get him even. Not too high, not too low. Allow the game to come to him. The last thing we want to do is press. Just CeeDee go be CeeDee.”
Lamb was particularly despondent immediately after last Thursday’s game, describing his performance as “terrible” despite leading the team with seven receptions on 13 targets for 110 yards against the Eagles.
