Josh Jacobs injury report: Green Bay RB leaves game with knee injury

The injuries are piling up for the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football. Running back Josh Jacobs is the latest shaken up.

Jacobs appeared to suffer a knock early in the fourth quarter. The Packers posted an update to the team’s official Twitter account shortly after.

“Packers injury update: RB Josh Jacobs (knee) is questionable to return,” the update read. Jacobs had been having a quality game.

The former Alabama running back had already logged 17 carries for 70 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, helping Green Bay build an early lead against the Dallas Cowboys. He was averaging 4.1 yards per carry.

The NBC broadcast crew provided a brief update on the broadcast. And as they were in the middle of their report, Josh Jacobs checked back into the game.

“Yeah, you were talking about Josh Jacobs and after that touchdown the athletic training staff working on his right knee,” sideline reporter Melissa Stark said. “He went into the locker room and the team said they were treating a cut below that knee. He’s back in the game.”
