On Thursday, New York Jets quarterback Justin Fields left practice after suffering a toe injury. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport provided further details on Fields’ injury.

“Justin Fields, carted off with a toe injury from getting stepped on from practice, suffered a dislocated toe. No fracture and not the big toe,” Rapoport wrote . “He’s still undergoing tests, but that’s the initial diagnosis. Severity is unclear.”

Fields signed a two-year, $40 million deal with the Jets this offseason after the Pittsburgh Steelers didn’t re-sign him. Fields only spent one season in Pittsburgh, amassing 10 appearances and six starts.

Fields finished the year with 1,106 passing yards and five touchdowns compared to one interception. He also recorded 289 yards and five scores in the ground game. The Steelers posted a 4-2 record in his six starts.
