The Indiana Fever are without All-WNBA point guard Caitlin Clark. On Thursday, Aliyah Boston and the Fever fell to Kelsey Plum and the Los Angeles Sparks 85-75. That marked Clark’s sixth absence of the season after she suffered a groin injury in Tuesday’s win against the Seattle Storm. In the loss, Boston tallied her seventh double-double of the season, recording 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting, 10 rebounds and five steals. Plum, on the other hand, notched 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting and six assists. After the game, Plum joined the media for a news conference. The former Las Vegas Aces guard had high praise for Boston despite the Fever losing by double digits. “Aliyah [Boston] should be an All-Star starter,” Plum claimed. “She’s had a phenomenal year, extremely efficient. She’s super tough on the block. She’s strong, very skilled. She’s gotten a lot better. I give a lot of credit to her.” Boston has put together a solid third season in the WNBA. Prior to Thursday, she was averaging a career-high 15.9 points
