New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd remained hospitalized Monday with a bullet lodged in his lung, according to a report from ABC News . Boyd is listed in critical but stable condition after being shot early Sunday morning in the Midtown area of New York City.
The shooting took place around 2 a.m. ET, New York City Police told the New York Post . Police did not identify Boyd as the victim to the Post . WABC-7 reported officers found Boyd with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, and he was immediately transported to Bellevue Hospital. The Jets released a statement about Boyd shortly after noon ET Sunday.
“We are aware of the situation involving Kris Boyd and will have no further comment at this time,” the statement read.
