Kyler Murray injury update: Cardinals reveal starting QB for Cowboys game

The Arizona Cardinals will start Jacoby Brissett at QB this week, in place of the injured Kyler Murray . ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the news Saturday.

“Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett will start Monday night vs. the Cowboys,” Schefter wrote on Twitter. “Kyler Murray is making progress from his foot sprain, and could have a role Monday night, but Brissett will start.”

Murray suffered a foot sprain recently and will unavailable for the Cardinals (2-5) against the Dallas Cowboys (3-4-1). This is Brissett’s first year with Arizona.

In five games this season, Murray has 962 yards, six touchdowns, three interceptions, a 68.3% completion percentage, 173 rushing yards and one touchdown. Brissett is 0-2 as a starter for the Cardinals and he’ll get his third nod of the year.

This year, Brissett has 599 yards, four touchdowns, one interception and a 64.2% completion percentage. He might have a chance at big numbers against a shaky Cowboys’ defense.
