The Baltimore Ravens have been without star quarterback Lamar Jackson in Week 4. Now, itโ€™s trending like he wonโ€™t be available for yet another game in Week 6.

ESPN insider Adam Schefter appeared on Get Up on Thursday morning. While on, he explained that Jackson wasnโ€™t able to practice on Wednesday. Nothing is set in stone. However, because of that, it appears that his chances of playing on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams are trending in the wrong direction.

โ€œNo Lamar Jackson yesterday,โ€ Adam Schefter said. โ€œIt is tracking for him not to play again on Sunday. Letโ€™s keep in mind that the Ravens have a bye week after this upcoming game against the Rams. So, if Lamar Jackson doesnโ€™t play Sunday and right now it doesnโ€™t seem like he will, he would get two weeks to rest up that hamstring injury and then make a push in the second half of the season.โ€

In the loss to Kansas City, Lamar Jackson was knocked out by a hamstring injury. For any player, that type of issue is tough to navigate. Itโ€™s particularly difficult for a quarterback like Jackson who relies on his legs. Itโ€™s, in fact, a key part of what makes him so effective. A two-time NFL MVP, itโ€™s also important to avoid making the injury worse and potentially losing him for the entire season.

The trouble for Baltimore is that the season has already gone sideways on them. Going into the game against the Rams, the Ravens are just 1-4. That included two close losses to Buffalo and Detroit when Jackson was healthy. It also includes blowout losses to Kansas City and Houston when he was injured.
