Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is setting the record straight on the severity of Lamar Jackson ‘s foot issue. While speaking to reporters on Thursday, Harbaugh gave an update on Jackson and why he missed Thursday’s practice.
“He got his foot stepped on, like we said yesterday,” John Harbaugh said. “They did a quick X-ray, and there’s no damage or anything like that. I’m sure it’s a little sore today, so we just kept him in. He’s fine, he’s going to be good.”
During Wednesday’s practice, Jackson was inadvertently knocked to the ground about 90 minutes into practice, according toJamison Hensley of ESPN. The two-time NFL MVP stayed on the field to throw a couple more passes before heading into the facility with a team doctor and trainer. Hensley said that Jackson was flexing his right wrist before leaving practice.

It’s likely Jackson will not play in the Ravens’ preseason finale against the Washington Commanders on Saturday, since he hasn’t played in a preseason game in four years. Jackson has not missed a game with an injury since the 2022 season.
