Lamar Jackson injury update: Ravens pull QB, insert Cooper Rush vs. Chiefs

The Baltimore Ravens have pulled Lamar Jackson in light of a hamstring injury in Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Ravens trailed 30-13 at the end of the third quarter when Jackson was taken out of the game.

Cooper Rush entered in his place and will likely finish out the game unless something changes. At the time he exited the game, Jackson had completed 14-of-20 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown with one interception. He had also rushed for 48 yards.

“I’ve been watching Lamar down here to see if he’s OK for a little while,” sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson said on the broadcast. “I can tell you he’s extremely frustrated. Jim Harbaugh came over to see if he is OK. I got word that it is a hamstring injury and he is questionable to return.”

Ultimately, Jackson never returned as the Ravens would go on to lose 37-20. Rush finished 9-of-13 passing for 52 yards after coming in to finish out the game.
