The Indiana Fever had a whirlwind season. They finished 24-20, won the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup and fell one game short of the WNBA Finals. Through it all, they had five players suffer season-ending injuries: Caitlin Clark, Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald, Sophie Cunningham and Chloe Bibby. But that’s not all. The Fever even had a player request to leave the team. Two-time WNBA champion DeWanna Bonner signed with the Fever as a free agent during the offseason. After beginning the year as a starter and later transitioning to a bench role, she missed five games due to personal reasons.
