Big Q covers the latest on your LSU Football Tigers. In this report we cover LSU more additions to it’s 2023 recruiting class.
(Summary) LSU on Coach Brian Kelly continues to have a monster July has the names keep roiling in.
-Paul Mubenga, who becomes the first offensive line prospect to join the 2023 class.
Mubenga is a 6-foot-4, 280-pound three-star offensive lineman from Buford, Georgia. He was crystal-balled to Michigan by three different Wolverines insiders, but coach Brian Kelly pulled a rabbit out of his hat and snagged Mubenga out of the claws of Jim Harbaugh.
-Running back Kaleb Jackson from Liberty Magnet High School in Baton Rouge elected to stay home and play with the Tigers. According to On3’s prediction machine, Alabama was LSU’s biggest threat to pluck the in-state recruit, but coach Brian Kelly managed to keep Jackson in the boot.
– LSU gained its sixth commitment in the past seven days when cornerback Jeremiah Hughes, a three-star prospect from Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, picked the Tigers over Arkansas and multiple Pac-12 schools on Thursday afternoon.
Hughes is a 6-foot-1, 175-pound prospect who is ranked No. 810 overall and the No. 78 cornerback in the country by 247Sports Composite. He’s the third cornerback in LSU’s 2023 class, joining four-star Daylen Austin and three-star Ashton Stamps.
– LSU tapped into Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga. for 2023 safety commit Michael Daugherty. The Tigers plan to make it at least two in consecutive years as athlete JoJo Stone became the third Tiger pledge for the 2024 class.
At 5-feet-11, 180 pounds, Stone selected LSU over some impressive offers, including Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Florida, Michigan, Tennessee and numerous others.
