LSU’s 51–10 victory over Clemson delivered more than an emphatic start to the Lane Kiffin era. It brought conference recognition for three Tigers and gave some of the nation’s leading recruits a firsthand look at the program’s potential.
Sam Leavitt, Jordan Seaton and Jordan Ross earned SEC weekly honors following the opener. Meanwhile, receiver Easton Royal and tight end Ahmad Hudson offered enthusiastic reactions to their visits, giving LSU encouraging news for its recruiting efforts.
Three Tigers Recognized by the SEC

Death Valley Became a Recruiting Showcase

The defensive showing strengthened the pitch, too. A productive offense attracts attention, but a complete performance gives recruits across the roster reasons to picture themselves in the program.
Easton Royal: LSU Exceeded Expectations
Texas Five-Star Plus+ receiver commit Easton Royal left Baton Rouge with an enthusiastic assessment, according to Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman.

Royal’s reaction is encouraging for LSU, but the report still identifies him as a Texas commit. A successful visit gives the Tigers something to build on; it does not establish a commitment change.
The next step is turning that impression into sustained interest through relationships, a clear development plan and continued offensive production.
Ahmad Hudson Praises Kiffin’s Debut
LSU tight end commit Ahmad Hudson also delivered a positive response. Hudson and Royal illustrate two important recruiting tasks: reinforcing the confidence of an existing commitment and giving a prospect committed elsewhere a reason to keep listening.
One weekend does not finish either job. It can, however, make the next conversation considerably more productive.
Momentum Must Become Consistency
The SEC awards reward what LSU accomplished against Clemson. The recruiting reactions point toward what that performance could help build.
Now the Tigers must maintain their preparation as they turn toward Louisiana Tech. Repeating the fundamentals—protection, decision-making, tackling and discipline—will do more for LSU’s long-term credibility than any single celebration.
