Harris, who transferred to LSU as a highly-touted five-star recruit from the Texas A&M Aggies, made an impactful transition during the offseason. In his freshman year, he showcased his abilities on the field, recording 14 tackles and three pass breakups in the 2022 season.
Coach Kelly highlighted Harris’ journey, mentioning the second chance he’s been granted and the importance of the strong team culture in supporting him during challenging times. Despite his absence, Harris remains an integral part of the LSU program, as the coaching staff continues to work closely with him, aiming to harness his potential impact on the team.
As the Tigers prepare for the upcoming season, the absence of Denver Harris underscores the broader reality that personal matters can affect even the most promising athletes. Coach Kelly’s statement about a possible return highlights the team’s understanding of the complexity of such situations and their commitment to supporting Harris both as a player and an individual.
