Former North Carolina coach Mack Brown posted his appreciation of former QB Drake Maye amid the Bill Belichick social media ban report. Brown shouted out his former signal caller following Maye’s solid performance for the New England Patriots Sunday night, beating the 4-0 Buffalo Bills.
Belichick and the current UNC staff reportedly put a moratorium on anything Patriots related on their Tar Heel social channels. Naturally Maye, a former UNC QB, plays for New England but there were no posts Sunday about his performance. For context, former RB Javonte Williams scored twice for the Dallas Cowboys and UNC posted both scores in the form of highlight videos.
But that didn’t stop Brown from sending some love towards Maye. You can see the post below which contains a picture of Brown and Maye.

Maye went 22-of-30 passing for 273 yards in Buffalo, leading a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter against the Bills. It was really the only semblance of offense for New England since TreVeyon Henderson had 24 rushing yards to lead the team.
