The dispute between the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons took an interesting turn on Thursday.Jon Machota of The Athletic pointed out that when the Cowboys began practice on Thursday, there was no sign of the star linebacker.

Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported that there was no sign of Parsons or Cowboys owner Jerry Jones 20 minutes into practice. This came after Parsons requested a trade from the Cowboys since he had not received a contract extension. With Parsons and Jones not at practice, it’s likely they are working to get a new contract done. However, Jane Slater of the NFL Network said, “Currently being told nothing is happening. Micah Parsons is still at camp and does not appear any talk behind the scenes.

It looked as if a new deal for Parsons was on the way, but contract negotiations have broken down over the last few weeks. Ultimately, it has led to Parsons asking for a trade.
