Anthony Davis has still been unable to shake a curse of sorts ever since he arrived in Dallas. The Dallas Mavericks star Davis was once again injured during Thursday’s Christmas Day game against the Golden State Warriors. In the second quarter at Chase Center in San Francisco, California, Davis was running up the floor when he felt something in his groin and had to leave the game. He did not return as Golden State beat Dallas 126-116. On Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reported that Davis has sustained a minor groin strain. Charania also said that 10-time All-Star is now “likely” to miss a few games. Davis’ latest injury now continues an absurd streak. Davis still has yet to play in six consecutive games for the Mavericks ever since being acquired in the Luka Doncic trade last season. In 2024-25, Davis notoriously got injured in his first game with Dallas and missed a month-and-a-half.
