ESPN’s Adam Schefter provided the latest on the contract dispute between Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Countdown . Schefter says there have not been discussions between the two in months. Parsons remains with the team and present at practice but is not out there going through drills in pads.
“Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys have made no progress to a new contract,” Schefter said. “They haven’t even had contract discussions throughout the last few months.”
Schefter saying “the last few months” lines up with a one-on-one conversation Jones had with Parsons. It’s one Parsons referenced in a statement released while requesting a trade. Originally thought to be a general discussion about his future, Jones thought a negotiation was taking place.
Parsons revealed when his agent, David Mulugheta, got involved, talks fell into a blackhole. And according to Schefter, nothing else has come up since.
