Star pass rusher Micah Parsons was at least temporarily sidelined for the Green Bay Packers during a Sunday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys. He appeared to be holding his back.

The injury occurred late in the third quarter, just prior to Dallas driving down the field for a go-ahead touchdown. So Parsonsโ€™ potential absence looms large.

The NBC broadcast crew provided a brief update on the situation. Sideline reporter Melissa Stark chimed in with the news.

โ€œYeah, Mike (Tirico) , before this drive a member of the athletic training staff came over and had a conversation with Micah Parsons,โ€ Stark said. โ€œWe saw him come over holding his low back. And then he just went into the medical tent. Was not happy about it. And the independent concussion specialist just came out of the tent, and weโ€™ll continue to monitor the situation.โ€

Parsons would return to the field for Green Bay on its ensuing defensive drive. Luckily for the Packers, the offense drove right back down the field to retake the lead at 27-23.
