Throughout the Micah Parsons contract negotiation, Jerry Jones has not been afraid to name-drop current and former Dallas Cowboys players. Pulling from experience, Jones recently revealed the reason he does not want to deal with Parsonsโ agent is because of Dez Bryant .
Well, when Bryant found the quote, he took to social media. And to say he was not happy would be a little bit of an understatement. Bryant threatened to have โstory timeโ because of what Jones said.
โJERRY JONES I DONT THINK ITS SMART TO MENTION MY NAME,โ Bryant said via X. โI KEPT QUIET ABOUT A LOT OF UNFAIR SHIT.. ON SOME G SHITโฆ WE CAN HAVE STORY TIME IF THATโS WHAT WE ARE DOING.โ
Bryant went through his own negotiations with Jones back in the day. Ahead of the 2015 season, a five-year deal was signed by the wide receiver. This came after Bryant established himself as one of the best players in the NFL, inking a deal for $70 million.
ROC NATION was the agency representing Bryant at the time. Specifically, Jay-Z was in the middle of conversations involving Bryant and Jones. Jay-Zโs actions are eventually what soured how Jones felt about agents moving forward.
