Cowboys LB Micah Parsons is still unsigned by Dallas and, with that, his trade request still stands. Now, with his potential availability at least in question, other teams could consider making a real move for him across the NFL.
‘Get Up’ discussed the latest regarding Parsons’ ongoing situation in Dallas on Thursday. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler began that by reporting on the trade request, noting a handful of teams, including possibly ones within the division, would be in on making a deal for one of the best defensive players in the league while adding that the Cowboys are still unlikely to even do it.
“I checked with a source. I was told, as far as potentially missing games if a trade doesn’t happen? He’s more focused on getting traded. That is his objective right now,” Fowler said. “I’m told there are at least five or six teams that would be interested, if Dallas is even willing to do it – including, possibly, in his own division, by the way.”
“But Dallas has shown no willingness to move him,” mentioned Fowler. “I haven’t talked to anybody in Dallas who expects him to be outside of the team this year. That’s some perspective.”
Considering all things, this has become the biggest story around the National Football League. Parsons, having been a Pro Bowler in all four seasons of his career while also earning recognitions or consideration as All-Pro, Defensive Player of the Year, and even MVP in each of those seasons, has already set himself apart as one of the league’s best with seventeen-game averages of 69.1 tackles, 17 for loss, with 14.2 sacks and 2.2 forced fumbles with 1.1 recoveries. That likely would have made him an easy, straightforward signing for almost every franchise in the National Football League.
