Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons shocked the NFL world on Friday by publicly requesting a trade on Twitter/X. The trade request came after contract negotiations between Parsons and the Cowboys reached an impasse over recent weeks. The Athletic ‘s Diana Russini is, however, reporting that Dallas has ‘no intention’ of honoring Parsons’ trade request at this time.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reaffirmed this report on Saturday at Cowboys training camp. Jones told reporters that he isn’t considering trading Parsons and revealed that the star linebacker took the deal off the table back in March.
“Micah took it off the table,” he said. “I think the world of Micah. That’s just the part of negotiation. I don’t really place that with any seriousness.”
