Mike McCarthy didn’t understand why he wasn’t invited to the “McCarthy Bowl,” which was the Green Bay Packers game against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night. While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show , McCarthy was asked his thoughts about the game that ended in a 40-40 tie.

“The fact that it was the McCarthy Bowl, and they didn’t invite my ass, that’s bullshit,” Mike McCarthy jokingly said. “That’s the first I heard of that.”

McCarthy went on to share his thoughts on the matchup. “I thought it was a great game, I really did,” he said. “I think both teams have a lot of similarities. They’re young teams with arrows pointing up. I was not surprised that it was a close game at all.

“…The battle back and forth, I thought it was a very entertaining game. I thought a lot of young guys stepped up, both teams having some injuries and so forth.”
