HOLT, Mich. — One of Michigan State’s more underrated players, senior center Carson Cooper , is going to have to take another leap next season as he steps into the starting role at center. The veteran big man saw valuable minutes last season and even saw more time than former starting center Szymon Zapala. So, this “transition” will be nothing he can’t handle. Cooper gave some updates on the offseason following his showing at the Moneyball Pro-Am at Holt High School on Tuesday. Right now, we’re kind of getting into the meat and potatoes of the offseason right now in July, kind of mid-July. But it’s going really well.
